Canal-side morning room
A 68-square-metre unit near La Joliette required a concept emphasising dawn light and commuter throughput. We proposed a pale terracotta floor, counter-facing bar with three-speed service zones, and north-wall mirrors amplifying grey winter mornings.
The developer used our documentation to pre-let the unit before construction completed; no operating business exists yet by design.
Panier heritage shell
Within a protected façade on Rue du Panier, interior concepts had to respect exposed timber beams while introducing contemporary banquette joinery. Material palette centred on untreated oak and hand-glazed zellige inspired tiles sourced locally.
Concept boards helped the architect argue for reversible fixings during heritage commission review.
University quarter study hub
Students requested long-table laptop zones separated acoustically from social two-tops. We designed a stepped ceiling with felt baffles and specified power routes every 1.8 metres along perimeter benches.
Lighting concept layered 4000K task pendants over tables and 2700K ambient coves elsewhere to reduce circadian disruption during evening study sessions.
Waterfront double-height volume
A former warehouse offered six-metre ceilings unsuitable for intimate café scale. Concepts introduced a partial mezzanine for storage and a lowered timber raft ceiling over seating only, preserving dramatic height at entry.
Seating layout capped occupancy at 94 covers to maintain comfort during Mistral weeks when doors remain closed.
Suburban strip conversion
Retail park landlords often deliver generic boxes. This concept introduced a central planted atrium screen visible from parking, breaking the rectangular shell into three human-scaled rooms without structural works.
Documentation package totalled €11,200 across concept, spatial, and finishes phases billed over four months.
